Mr Adama KONE

Président

Mr. KONE is an applied sciences engineer specializing in geology, with a degree from the National School of Engineers of Mali (ENI), where he served as a part-time lecturer in mining exploration and exploitation for 22 years.
He is certified in management by the International School of Business in Africa (University of Cape Town, South Africa) and was a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) from 2008 to 2019.
Mr. KONE worked from 1988 to 2017 with various mining exploration and exploitation companies, mainly including the DNGM, BHP-Minerals, AngloGold Ashanti, and Randgold Resources in Mali (Kayes, Kéniéba, Sadiola, Yanfolila, Syama, Morila), Burkina Faso (Essakane), and Côte d'Ivoire (Tongon). During this period, he held several positions, including exploration geologist, grade control geologist, chief geologist, director of mineral resources, and general mine manager, before retiring in Mali.
Mr. KONE is certified by the Quebec Financial Markets Authority (AMF) for life insurance and is currently a financial security advisor. He is a member of several associations.

Mr. Barry was born in Senegal, a country renowned for its tradition of hospitality ("teranga" in Wolof). He has made Saskatchewan his home since 2005, after a stay in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
As a committed Francophone, husband, and father of three children, I have long been dedicated to serving my community. Since 2014, I have been a member of the Fransaskois School Board Council as a board member, where I serve as president. These years of service have strengthened my passion for education and my commitment to the Francophone community in Saskatchewan. In addition to my work in school governance, I have served on the Senate of the University of Saskatchewan, where I represented the primary and secondary education sector through the Saskatchewan School Boards Association.
My dedication to community service has been recognized by the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, a testament to the impact of my work in the province.
Professionally, I am part of the administrative team at the University of Regina, where I actively contribute to the leadership team of La Cité universitaire. In this role, I collaborate with the dean's office on the development and implementation of strategic plans for the growth of La Cité. This work, in a constantly evolving environment, has enabled me to develop strong adaptive leadership skills, collaborative decision-making, and strategic planning.
I am also proud to be a member of Chartered Managers Canada and to hold the designation of Chartered Manager (C.Mgr), as well as an MBA from Queen’s University. These titles reflect my commitment to good management practices, ethical leadership, and continuous professional development.

Her Excellency Madame Fatima Braoulé MEITE, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to Canada and Permanent Representative of Mali to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Her Excellency Madame Fatima Braoulé MEITE, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to Canada and Permanent Representative of Mali to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), graduated from the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) and Stony Brook University in New York, Long Island (SUNY at Stony Brook).
Her Excellency Madame Fatima Braoulé MEITE, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to Canada, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration as well as a double major: Bachelor in Business (Harriman School – Stony Brook) and Sociology.
Professionally, the Former Ambassador of Mali to Canada has held several significant roles technical Advisor to the Governance Cell of the Presidency of the Republic of Mali (2014-2019) mission Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (2011-2013) municipal Councilor in Commune II of the District of Bamako (2009-2015) president of the Malian Network of Elected Women and Politicians for Participatory Democracy (REMAFEDE)
She also worked as a consultant for the United Nations, the European Union, and Luxembourg Cooperation in the fields of human rights, women's promotion, particularly women in politics, and decentralization.
A specialist in international law and gender issues, she served as a Temporary Instructor at the Alioune Blondin Beye Peacekeeping School on topics such as persons with special needs in conflict situations, fundamental knowledge on peacekeeping operations and conflict management: the role of local communities in post-conflict management. She also worked as a consultant in the Office du Niger area in Siengo and Molodo, conducting studies on the “social and economic role of women in the Office du Niger in the management of rice-growing basins.” It was in this context that she participated in the international preparatory meetings for the Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, September 4-5, 1995) in Dakar.
In the social sector, Mrs. MEITE was the Coordinator of the Network of Caregivers for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (RIOEV), which provided care for 3,500 children in the 8 regional capitals of Mali and the district of Bamako. She was able to implement an innovative comprehensive care system for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) based on the decentralization of care for vulnerable groups. Finally, Mrs. MEITE is the Founder and leader of Bamako Incubator, which provides support and assistance to Malian start-ups.

Mr Hamed Aliou M’BAYE

Mr Hamed Aliou M’BAYE, Opérateur de production Tafisa Canada Inc., Lac-Mégantic, QC (Canada)"has held this position since October 2019. Previously, he was the General Manager of SYLENE MALI (Bamako), a subsidiary of SYLENE SA (France).

Before taking up the position of production operator at Tafisa Canada Inc, he was involved in several projects from 2011 to 2018 that involved installing and commissioning control cabinets, remote management systems, and water hammer prevention systems for water pumping stations.

"During the period from 2006 to 2018, he participated in several projects for Malian companies such as Énergie Du Mali (EDM S.A), the Malian Water Management Company (SOMAGEP S.A), the Cotton Oil Mill of Mali (HUICOMA), and the Malian Textile Company (CMDT). The activities included the installation and commissioning of LV switchboards, control panels, variable speed drives, and remote management systems for water pumping stations, the supply and installation of high/low voltage transformers, and the commissioning of industrial automation systems.

Both nationally and with international instructors from 2008 to 2016, Mr. Aliou M’Baye provided services to organizations such as the French Development Agency (AFD), the Niger Water Utility (SEEN), the European Union (EU), Lux-Development, the Guinea Electricity Company (EDG), and the Malian Drinking Water Heritage Company.

"This involved the supply, installation, and commissioning of 182 drinking water supply systems, each consisting of water wells, solar and electric pumping systems, metal water towers, and water treatment systems. Between 2008-2011 and 2013, Mr. Aliou M’BAYE supplied and installed solar equipment (photovoltaic panels, solar batteries, inverters, regulators) in 106 localities in Mali on behalf of the Belgian Technical Cooperation (CTB) and the Koulikoro Development Support Program (PADK).

"Before moving to Canada, Mr. Aliou M’BAYE was the Technical Director of La Générale (LG) in Bamako, Mali, from 2004 to 2005, promoting the company to consumers by ensuring the maintenance of household appliances. Steeped in societal values, he combines managerial skills and innovation, aiming to bridge the technological gap through his ambitions and entrepreneurial spirit, which he intends to put at the service of users through his cleaning and building management company for commercial and industrial buildings.
